PRP Hair Restoration Post-Treatment Instructions
What do avoid after your PRP hair loss injections

For at least 8 hours after your PRP Hair Restoration treatment do not touch, press, rub or manipulate the treated area(s).

Avoid anti-inflammatory and blood thinning medications & supplements for 2 weeks after your PRP hair restoration treatment. Medications and supplements such as NSAIDs like Ibuprofen (Advil®), Naproxen (Aleve®), (Aspirin®), vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil, and Turmeric supplements. These all have a blood thinning effect and can increase your risk of bruising and swelling from your PRP hair treatment.

Avoid smoking for at least 3 days after your treatment.

It is normal to experience bruising, redness, itching, swelling and soreness that may last between 2-5 days following your treatment. If you experience any pain or discomfort you may take acetaminophen (Tylenol®) as directed on the label.

Do not wet your hair for 24 hours after your treatment.

For the first 3 days after your treatment, use a pH balanced shampoo.

For the next 6 hours after your PRP hair restoration treatment do not use any hair products.

For the first 2 days after your PRP hair restoration you should avoid saunas, steam rooms, tanning beds and swimming.

For the first 2 days after your PRP hair restoration you should avoid vigorous exercise, prolonged sun exposure and heat.

For the first 3 days after your PRP hair restoration treatment you should avoid alcohol, and caffeine.

For the first 3 days after your PRP hair restoration treatment you should avoid resuming Minoxidil (Rogaine®) or hair coloring your hair, or using heat generating hair tools (i.e., blow dryer, straightener, curling iron).

For the first week following your PRP Hair Restoration treatment you should increase your water intake.
