Aftercare Guidance for Dermal Filler Treatments
Following a dermal filler treatment at Touch of Beauty, it’s important to follow after-care practices
that support your comfort and safety. Your nurse will also provide individualized after-care instructions at the time of treatment.
Immediate After-Care
Avoid touching or pressing the treated area for several hours. This helps maintain the placement as your body settles after the injections.
Cleanse gently: You may wash your face as usual, using mild motions and lukewarm water.
Avoid vigorous rubbing directly over the injection sites in the first day.
Avoid makeup immediately after treatment: If you choose to apply makeup, wait until gentle cleansing feels comfortable, and use light, non-abrasive application in the treated areas.
These practices help minimize irritation and support your overall comfort in the immediate post-
treatment period.
Activity & Exercise
Avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting on the day of treatment, unless directed otherwise
by your nurse.
Daily activities such as walking or light movement are typically acceptable; if you have
questions about specific movements, discuss them with your clinician during your appointment.
Temperature & External Treatments
Avoid excessive heat (e.g., saunas, hot tubs, intense sun exposure) shortly after treatment, as
advised by your nurse.
Facials or massage: Professional pressure or manipulation over the treated area may be
postponed for a short period to avoid altering injection placement; your clinician will provide
guidance tailored to your plan.
Expected Responses
Individuals may experience temporary effects such as:
Mild tenderness or discomfort at or near injection sites
Mild swelling
Mild bruising
These responses are generally transient and can vary between individuals. Your nurse will
explain common experiences during the consultation and at the time of treatment.
Follow-Up & Adjustment
Responses to dermal fillers vary among individuals. Follow-up appointments may be suggested
to assess response over time and determine if any adjustments are appropriate for your care
plan.
Your nurse is available to answer questions during follow-up visits or as needed following your
treatment.
