Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatment
Face & Scalp

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment is a clinical service offered at Touch of Beauty by Kali
Tocco, Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), under appropriate medical direction. This treatment
involves the use of platelet-rich plasma derived from your own blood and applied to the skin of
the face and/or scalp as part of a personalized care plan.

A comprehensive consultation is required to determine whether PRP treatment is appropriate
based on your skin or scalp characteristics, health history, and individual goals.

What This Treatment Involves
PRP treatment involves collecting a small sample of your blood, which is processed using a
centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma component. The PRP is then applied to the facial
skin and/or scalp according to a clinically assessed plan. The procedure is performed by Kali Tocco, Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), using appropriate infection-prevention practices and aseptic technique.

Consultation & Assessment

This process supports informed decision-making and helps determine whether PRP treatment is appropriate based on your individual assessment, health history and treatment goals.

During the Treatment
If PRP treatment is included in your care plan, it will be performed in a clinical setting using appropriate aseptic technique and infection-prevention practices. The procedure typically involves:
Preparing and cleansing the treatment area(s)
Collecting and processing a small blood sample
Applying PRP to the face and/or scalp according to your individualized plan

Treatment duration may vary depending on the areas assessed and clinical considerations.

Aftercare & What to Expect
Following PRP treatment, temporary treatment-area responses may include redness, tenderness or sensitivity, swelling and bruising. The type, intensity and duration of these responses can vary between individuals.

Your nurse will provide individualized aftercare instructions, including information about expected responses and when to contact the clinic with concerns.

Individual responses to PRP treatment vary. Follow-up appointments may be recommended to
assess how your skin or scalp is responding and to determine whether additional sessions are
appropriate for your care plan.

Safety & Eligibility
PRP treatment is not suitable for everyone. Certain medical conditions, medications, blood
disorders, pregnancy, active skin or scalp conditions, or other health considerations may affect
eligibility.

As with all clinical procedures, PRP treatment carries potential risks. These considerations will
be reviewed during your consultation so you can make an informed decision.

Our Clinical Approach

At Touch of Beauty, PRP treatment is guided by individual clinical assessment, professional nursing judgment and informed decision-making. Treatment recommendations take into consideration your health history, skin or scalp concerns, treatment goals and other relevant clinical factors.
