
Post-Treatment Guidance After Neuromodulator Injections
After receiving a neuromodulator injection at Touch of Beauty, it’s important to follow the recommended aftercare instructions and understand what to expect during the post-treatment period. Your nurse will also provide individualized aftercare guidance at the time of treatment.
Immediate Post-Treatment Practices

Positioning after treatment: Normal daily activities are generally acceptable following treatment. Avoid manipulating the treated area: Refrain from rubbing, massaging or applying unnecessary pressure to the injection sites for the first few hours after treatment.
Activities and Exercise

Normal daily activities are generally acceptable following treatment. Your nurse will provide individualized guidance regarding strenuous exercise or heavy lifting based on your treatment and clinical assessment.
Skin and External Treatments

Avoid pressure or friction: Avoid facial massage, facials, tight headwear or other activities involving significant pressure or manipulation of the treated areas for the first few hours after treatment, unless otherwise advised by your clinician.
Heat exposure: Avoid excessive heat, such as saunas, steam rooms or hot tubs, for the remainder of the day following treatment. Your nurse may provide additional guidance based on your individual treatment.
Gentle Care

Face washing: You may cleanse your face as usual using gentle motions and lukewarm water, avoiding excessive pressure or scrubbing directly at injection sites immediately after your appointment.

Makeup: Makeup may be applied gently after treatment, provided unnecessary rubbing, pressure or manipulation of the injection sites is avoided.
Typical Responses
Temporary treatment-area responses may include:

Redness or small raised areas at the injection sites

Tenderness or sensitivity

Mild swelling

Headache
These responses vary between individuals and generally improve following treatment.
Individual Responses & Expectations
Everyone’s response to neuromodulator injections varies. Some individuals may notice changes gradually over several days. Full assessment of how your body responds and whether any adjustments are appropriate is best discussed during follow-up care or subsequent visits.
When to Contact the Clinic
Contact the clinic if you experience:

Significant or worsening pain, redness or swelling at an injection site

New or unexpected facial weakness outside of the intended treatment effect

Drooping of the eyelid or eyebrow that concerns you

Vision changes or other unexpected eye symptoms

Difficulty speaking, swallowing or breathing

Any severe, persistent or unexpected symptoms that concern you

Seek immediate medical attention for difficulty breathing or swallowing, generalized muscle weakness, severe allergic-reaction symptoms, or other severe or rapidly worsening symptoms.
