Submental Fullness Treatment

At Touch of Beauty, we offer clinical assessment and treatment planning for concerns related to fullness beneath the chin, often referred to as a double chin. This area of fullness can be influenced by factors such as genetics, aging and individual anatomy. A comprehensive consultation helps determine whether treatment may be appropriate based on your individual assessment and goals.

What This Service Involves

Double chin treatment, known as lipolysis, involves the administration of a prescribed injectable medication into the area beneath the chin following an individualized assessment. The treatment approach is based on your individual anatomy, health history, clinical assessment and treatment goals.

During your consultation, your nurse will explain the treatment process, address any questions, and review potential responses and risks so you can make an informed choice.

Consultation & Assessment

Every submental fullness treatment begins with a detailed consultation, which includes:

  • Review of your medical history and current medications

  • Discussion of your concerns and expectations

  • Assessment of the area beneath the chin

  • Discussion of suitable treatment options and alternatives

  • Explanation of potential risks and expected experiences

  • After-care guidance

This process supports informed decision-making and helps determine whether treatment is appropriate based on your individual assessment, health history and goals.

During and After Treatment

If submental fullness treatment is selected as part of your care plan, injections will be administered by Kali Tocco, Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), using appropriate aseptic technique and infection-prevention practices.

After treatment, you may resume most regular activities as directed by your nurse. Temporary effects such as swelling, tenderness, or mild bruising at the treatment site may occur. Your nurse will provide individualized aftercare instructions, including information about expected treatment-area responses and when to contact the clinic with questions or concerns.

Responses to treatment vary between individuals. Follow-up appointments may be recommended to review your progress and discuss any adjustments to your plan.

Safety & Eligibility

Not all individuals are suitable candidates for submental fullness treatments. Certain medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, and other factors may affect eligibility. Your nurse will determine whether this treatment is appropriate for you during your consultation.

As with all clinical procedures, potential risks and considerations will be reviewed in detail prior to any treatment.

At Touch of Beauty, our priority is professional, evidence-informed care.
