Aftercare Guidance for Dermal Filler Treatments
Following a dermal filler treatment at Touch of Beauty, it’s important to follow the recommended aftercare instructions and understand what to expect during the post-treatment period. Your nurse will also provide individualized aftercare instructions at the time of treatment.
Immediate Aftercare
Avoid unnecessary manipulation: Avoid rubbing, massaging or applying unnecessary pressure to the treated area following treatment, unless otherwise directed by your clinician.
Cleanse gently: You may wash your face as usual using gentle motions and lukewarm water.
Avoid makeup immediately after treatment: If you choose to apply makeup, wait until gentle cleansing feels comfortable, and use light, non-abrasive application in the treated areas.
These practices help minimize irritation and support your overall comfort in the immediate post-
treatment period.
Activity & Exercise
Avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting on the day of treatment, unless directed otherwise
by your nurse.
Daily activities such as walking or light movement are typically acceptable; if you have
questions about specific movements, discuss them with your clinician during your appointment.
Temperature & External Treatments
Avoid excessive heat (e.g., saunas, hot tubs, intense sun exposure) shortly after treatment, as
advised by your nurse.
Facials or massage: Avoid facials, massage or other treatments involving significant pressure or manipulation of the treated area until advised by your clinician. Your nurse will provide guidance based on the area treated and your individual treatment plan.
Expected Responses
Temporary treatment-area reactions may include:
Tenderness or discomfort at or near the injection sites
-
Swelling
-
Bruising
-
Redness
-
Firmness or sensitivity in the treated area
These responses can vary between individuals and generally improve as the area settles following treatment. Your nurse will discuss expected responses based on the area treated and your individual treatment plan.
Follow-Up & Adjustment
Responses to neuromodulator treatment vary between individuals, and treatment effects may develop gradually over several days. Follow-up may be recommended to assess your response to treatment, address any questions or concerns and determine whether any further clinical assessment is appropriate.
