WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS?

Dermal fillers are mainly composed a of sugar molecule that occurs naturally in the body, know was hyaluronic acid (HA). There are many different types of dermal fillers available to address different areas of the face and different concerns. Dermal fillers are a great option for reducing facial lines and restoring age related facial volume loss.

HOW DO DERMAL FILLERS WORK?
With aging, our skin loses firmness as the result of a reduced production of HA, collage, and elastin. Dermal filler injections restore volume loss and reduce lines and folds.

During your consultation nurse Kali will work with you to understand your concerns and build a customized treatment plan to help achieve your aesthetic goal.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY APPOINTMENT?

Before your treatment, I recommend that you should stop over-the-counter medications such as Advil, aspirin, alcohol, some vitamins and supplements for at least 3 days before your injections to minimize bruising. The procedure can take approximately 30-90 minutes depending on the area being treated.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER MY APPOINTMENT?

Depending on your treatment, you can expect to see results immediately with improvement over the next 3-4 weeks. Some patients need less treatment and maintenance to maintain their appearance, while others will need multiple treatment sessions to achieve their desired result.

HOW LONG DO DERMAL FILLERS LAST?

The effects of fillers can be quite long lasting, especially with maintenance treatments and may last for approximately 2-3 years.

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF DERMAL FILLERS?

You may notice some swelling and bruising at the treatment site. Side effects usually disappear in the first week after treatment. Nurse Kali will review all the rare potential side effects with you during your consultation.
