Pre-Treatment Instructions
PRP treatment is a clinical service provided by Kali Tocco, Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), under appropriate medical direction. To help you prepare for your appointment and understand relevant pre-treatment considerations, please review the guidance below.
Consultation & Safety Review
A consultation is required prior to booking PRP treatment. During this visit, your nurse will:

Discuss your facial skin and/or scalp concerns

Before Your Appointment
General Preparation

Hydration: Maintain your usual fluid intake and arrive adequately hydrated for your appointment, unless you have been advised by a healthcare professional to restrict fluids.

Eat a light meal prior to your visit
Medications & SupplementsIf you take medications or supplements that may affect bleeding or bruising, please discuss these with your nurse before treatment. Do not stop or change any prescribed medication unless instructed to do so by the healthcare professional who prescribed it.
Skin & Scalp Care

Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, waxing, microneedling or other treatments that may irritate the treatment area before your appointment. If you have recently had another skin or scalp treatment, please let your nurse know so appropriate timing can be discussed.

Arrive with clean skin and/or scalp free of makeup, styling products, lotions or oils.
Lifestyle Factors
Tobacco use or alcohol consumption should be discussed with your nurse, as these factors may
be relevant to your care plan.
